Divers will have heard of this part of Cyprus for the dive site Zenobia, which is one of the worlds best wreck dives. Other diving across its shores can be found as well but is not so well developed as regions such as the Akamas Peninsula in Phaphos and Aiya Napa in Farmagusta.

Larnaca is the second smallest district of Cyprus separated into a small unofficial Turkish part and its southern larger Greek part. Larnaca city is a beautiful city that attracts quite a few tourists and evidence dating back six thousand years ago indicates it is one of the oldest settlements in Cyprus. Sights that are well known here are the Hala Sultan Tekke mosque or Mosque of Umm Haram which is considered to many Muslims one of the holiest shrines for the Islam. The ruins of ancient city Kitium are well worth a visit and the beaches and promenades such as Phinikoudes and McKenzie are exceptionally clean and should not be missed.

If you visit this area you will have to dive the Zenobia, one of the worlds best known wreck dives, which can even be visited without getting wet in a mini underwater submarine. Remember that it is the most visited dive site in Cyprus and will always be crowded.
